Toast to Spring

The traditional ‘Toast to Spring’ meeting took place at the Caffè Florian attended by business people, city authorities and friends of the Association. The president Alberto Nardi gave notice of the plan to protect the Square with the ‘San Marco Guardians’ starting on Monday 14 May and continuing all summer. ‘Despite the controversy, we are proud of the assistance received from Costa Crociera, a big Italian company’, said Mr Nardi. Twenty million tourists visit the Square every year and the effects of its decline have to be faced.
