MUSEI CIVICI, 2013 WILL BE A YEAR DEVOTED TO CONTEMPORARY ART

The programme of exhibitions and events being held in 2013 by the Fondazione Musei Civici of Venice will focus entirely on the contemporary and also involve the cultural venues in the St Mark’s area. Apart from the exhibition on Manet announced in a previous news item, the Fondazione Musei Civici is presenting an exhibition on Emilio Vedova ‘Discovering Vedova’, curated by Germano Celant, at the Correr Museum from 18 May to 13 October 2013. The exhibition ‘I mestieri della moda. 8 marzo con Agatha Ruiz de la prada’ showing the works of the Spanish stylist will also be at the Correr, from 8 March to 5 May 2013. Finally, the Correr will host the first Italian retrospective on the 90 year-old artist Anthony Cara from 1 June to 24 October 2013. A very rich cultural programme that will certainly attract numerous visitors.
