ST MARK’S SQUARE SET TO MUSIC FOR CHRISTMAS 2013

The ‘Venetian Winter’ begins on Saturday 21 December 2013, a Christmas event organised by Vela Spa with the Associazione Piazza San Marco. Various events and classic Christmas concerts with the Pueri Cantores and the Joy Singers will be held up until Christmas Day using the stage for the New Year’s Eve shows in order to also attract Venetians to their Square. So it will be a magic moment but also one of great cultural importance. Alberto Nardi, president of the Associazione Piazza San Marco, made the following statement to the Gazzettino: ‘Once again this year we have enthusiastically decided to support Vela’s musical events, precisely because they help give back the Square its historical importance as a symbolic place for Venetians, too’.
