The Piazza illuminated

Christmas lights turned on to illuminate the Piazza. In presence of the Mayor of the City, Mr. Giorgio Orsoni and of representants of the states and the cities institutions have been inaugurated the nativity set and the Christmas tree which this year have been donated to the city by THUN, famous manufactuterer of ceramic artwork. The performance of the “coro dei Pueri Cantores di Vicenza” (childrens choire of Vicenza) was accompanied by intense acclamation of the audience under heavy rain. After brief inauguration speeches held by the President of the Saint Marks Square association, Mr. Alberto Nardi, the Prefect of Venice, Mrs. Luciana Lamorgese and of the Mayor of the City, Mr. Giorgio Orsoni, Christmas lights had been switched von. At the occasion was offered the traditional Christmas cocktail by historic Gran Caffè Lavena.
